Mark These Dates!! Nov. 29 & Dec 6!!!
It's that time of the year again and this year, more than ever, I want to show my gratitude to those of you who have supported me and kept this little business of mine going. Times were tough all the way around for everyone and the fact that I'm still standing sometimes even surprises me. I want you all to know how much I appreciate everyone of you, whether you are one of my design clients, if you frequent my boutique, or you have offered me encouraging words...you know who you are, each one of you have become very special to me....

What A Yummy Stocking Stuffer!
Oh boy...I've been away a while. It's been sooooooo busy and I can't believe the holidays are HERE! This weekend, in between the AYSO Soccer Playoff games, I will be setting up for the Holidays at home and at the boutique! I have lots of really exciting new products and designs I can't wait to share with you! You'll have to check out my window!!! I'll post pics here in a few days. I've also stocked up on great gifts under $25 like these...I just got in these adorable cupcake necklaces in from an new designer in California. Only $12...a pretty delicious gift, don't you think?
What A Week!
Jimminy Cricket! What a week! Last week I received some great news that a wonderful e-commerce site wanted to carry all my product. Sooooooooooo exciting!!! So I call my photographer to set up some photo shoots and get ready to send off new designs to my printer, everything is good to go....then, Monday, the email...ugggg....my printer has sold his business and can no longer make my textiles....deep breath....OK I can figure this out... So from Monday night until just now, I have been talking to people all over the world. Very interesting! What I learned from this? Keep an open mind. Just when you think one door has shut, many more open. This week confirmed many things for me and now I'm even more excited about the new product I have I the works! Oh yes, and in between all this, life still goes on...I still have a design business to run. Here is a fun project I designed for some of my favorite clients. This is a playroom for their two sons. We just added this room on and pretty much gutted most of the interior of the house. I love the way it all came out. This is a pretty big wall, about 12', so I designed a frame around 3 bulletin panels that I covered in coordinating fabrics. The boys have lots of artwork! Love that! My client said, "I thought you were just going to put up a board." ha ha...not in my lifetime.... everything is art, even a bulletin board. Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy Halloween!

I've been a bit absent lately but with good reason...a few incredible opportunities have presented themselves to me and I've decided to go for it. More to come on that soon! On top of that, I've been busy making Halloween costumes like the rest of you and doing art projects with the kids and planning Fall parties... I just love this time of year! After our last rain this is what my balcony looked like. Is that crazy or what? What a busy, busy little guy! How appropriate! I hope you all have a very Safe and Fun Halloween!
PS The boutique will be closed for Trick or Treating sadly...we have multiple soccer games and parties to attend...but the rest of the Village will be open and the streets will be closed, so have fun!
New Bag, New Pattern!
I've been working on my patterns lately and I think I'm pretty happy with this one. Kind of fun colors to go with the Halloween goodies at my shop! It's in my window now but soon to be on my shoulder! :-)

Sunday Afternoon Design
Sunday afternoon and I'm tucked away in my studio working on a nautical office design for a new client...I finish up my initial concept board and I hear my youngest daughter call my name. "Look what I made." I just thought it was so cute. Here we are both working on our designs...hmmm...hers looks just slightly more fun. :-)
Happy Birthday Kitten!
Your smile is infectious. Your laughter warms my heart. The love you give everyone you meet is so pure and honest, it's impossible to not feel that you are in the presence of someone very special. I am so unbelievably blessed by you. Happy 11th birthday kitten!
New Goodies @ The Boutique!
The sky is cloudy, the air is crisp, and fingers crossed, we might see a little rain today. Finally it's starting to feel like Fall in California. Yesterday my oldest daughter and I had a great time setting up new product and Halloween goodies at the boutique. With my tiny little space, moving one item means moving EVERYTHING! But when all was said and done it felt great! I have a new line of delicious Body Butters, Lotions, Hand Wash, and Gift Sets from Chloe & Jane. A California company with all natural products made in the USA. These make great holiday gifts! One for the teacher, one for you! :-) I hope you'll put on your raincoat and come visit me!
Yummy Pine Cone Hill, Bliss Living, & My New Pillows!
Gwynnie B Beautiful!
Inside and out!
I have recently had such the pleasure to meet a beautiful, talented local jewelry designer named Gwynnie B. We met at my boutique last week. She showed me her gorgeous line of hand stamped silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Many of her designs garnish the "heart with wings" imagery which is obviously very special to me. We talked effortlessly for a long time, a kindred spirit. She is really a stunning person inside and out. So of course, I have all her gorgeous jewelry now at the boutique! If you're in the Village, I promise it will be worth checking out, plus you get to see Me. :-) A big thank you to my friend, publisher of Live Artfully Magazine, Miss Jenny, for bringing us together. Have a safe and happy weekend everyone!
Patterns & Procrastination...
Patterns, patterns, everywhere...in my dreams, in my journal, and now on my computer. I've been working up all kinds of fun projects that I'll be offering soon! But in a moment of taking a break and doing a little research I came across this great, easy to follow, tutorial on making a clutch purse by U Handbag, supplier of all things purse related for the DIY sewers out there. You can follow her great tutorial here.
